The Alpine Winter Festival acknowledges the support of Bayleys Real Estate and supporting partners Hanmer Holiday Homes, the Mainland Foundation, Obrien Construction and Hanmer Springs Thermal Pool and Spa, without the support of these organisations the Bayleys Ice Skating would not be possible.

Skate with Purpose!
Bayleys Skateathon for Child Cancer Foundation - Saturday 28th June
The Bayleys Skateathon for Child Cancer is a 12-hour community ice skating event with one goal: raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation. Whether you're skating one hour or 12, you're making a difference. Encourage friends, whānau, or your workplace to sponsor your skate time. Team entries welcome: schools, clubs, friend groups, and local businesses. Minimum $10 per person gives one hour skate time. The ultimate goal is to have 50 people on the ice rotating every hour except those who will skate the whole 12 hours. All funds raised will go directly to wrapping one-to-one around Kiwi kids with cancer and the families that love them.
The Bayleys Skateathon for Child Cancer Foundation will be held on the Bayleys Hanmer Springs Ice Rink in the centre of the village. It’s all part of the Hanmer Springs Alpine Winter Festival—celebrating winter, fun, and giving back. Register below to secure your slot or make an early donation through the link below. You can show up on the day to pay and skate.
